Carers’ Resource held a special afternoon tea at Goldsborough Hall near Knaresborough, to say thank you to volunteers from the Harrogate area.
Carers’ Time Off, Carers’ Groups and Caring Caller volunteers were amongst those present and everyone enjoyed a delicious array of sandwiches, scones and cakes in the Orangery at Goldsborough. The afternoon concluded with a walk around the beautiful gardens.
Alison Wragg, Fundraiser and Volunteer Co-ordinator for Carers’ Resource in North Yorkshire, said: “We wanted to say thank you to all our volunteers for their commitment and adaptability, particularly during the periods of lockdown.
“Their hard work has been vital in helping us to keep in touch with carers and offer them support during this difficult time.
“For many, this was the first occasion in over 18 months when they have been able to socialise and meet their fellow volunteers.
“We’d like to thank North Yorkshire County Councillor Don Mackenzie, who made this event possible with his generous support.”
